The Chamber of Deputies is to open next November 10 its twelfth parliamentary term.
Under the constitutional provisions and the Chamber’s internal rules, this session’s agenda includes:
- All MPs’ oath taking,
- Election Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies,
- Election of First Deputy Speaker of the Chamber,
- Election of Second Deputy Speaker of the Chamber,
- Announcement of make-up of parliamentary groups and distribution of seats among standing commissions and the parliamentary immunity commission.
The Chamber of Deputies will also devote, next November 11, 2009, a session to elect the commissions’ members.
On the opening of the new legislative term, the Chamber of Deputies will hold a preliminary parliamentary meeting on November 10 and 11.
